Mala with beads of human bone and coral and conch shell(?) spacers. Two counters–one has silver beads and a dorje charm on green, tasseled string; the other has metal discs on leather thong. Single jingle bell attached to the ivory terminal bead. The purpose of using human bone is to help cultivate the awareness of impermanence, and therefore using such a mala is a subtle reminder of the impermanence of life.
