Derge gilt damascend iron box and china porcelain bowl travel set. Kang XI 1662-1722. Box is lined with purple felt, has hinged lid and silk brocade strap with two gilt iron fittings. Exterior is decorated with central dragon on lid, Taoist emblems and auspicious symbols; phoenix on bottom. Cup is white ground with polychrome dragons, phoenix, auspicious symbols.
