Fine Tibetan ceremonial drum with stand and beater Drum has painted skin membranes, brass fittings and silk tassels; the convex wood frame has unusually rich relief carving and polychrome green, red, yellow, orange and blue flowers and foliage on red ground. The carved wood stand has elongated lotus petal and four-pronged dorje carvings, 44 inches high; the round gilt wood base is carved with four-lotus petal design. The curved bent wood beater (made from cane or other plant stem) has traces of polychrome and gilding.
