Tibetan chodpa (drum); double sided drum (damaru). Sandalwood with green, yak-leather drum heads. Hard leather striker balls attached by string on each side. Cloth band around center decorated with plain metal buttons. Attached to the center band is a leather band to which tasseled silk ribbons and strings of coral, turquoise, mother-of-pearl, and other colored beads are attached. At top of ribbons is a wool applique panel with copper makara face ornaments hanging from each side.
