Drukpa Sect Lama (Mipam Kunzig Chokyi Nangwa)

Framed tangka depicting Drukpa sect lama. The central lama wearing the prominent red hat of the Drukpa Kargyu lineage sits on an ornate throne. The throne is decorated with colorful cushions with gold inscribed designs. Dragon-headed structural elements support the throne. The lama wears flowing robes of red and orange. A blue dakini is animated in a red aureole beneath the throne. Numerous architectural elements and historical scenes of lamas fill the Eastern Tibetan landscape background. Numerous inscriptions are next to the palace-like constructions.
