Four Initiation Paintings from the Seven Jewels of Royalty

In this series of initiaion cards, the first painting depicts a ritual cakra (wheel of law) with a green circular center framed by a red ring, white leaves and an elaborated floral form gold border inset with green precious gems at the four points. Framed by a red nimbus it set n a green splayed base and red lotus throne. The second painting depicts the “precious jewel” dark blue in color and surrounded by blazing flames and mounted on a ring column platform. The jewel sits on the saddle of the white “precious horse” who is adorned with colorful blankets and gold trappings and framed by a red nimbus it set on a green splayed base and red lotus throne. The third painting depicts a “precious minister” gazing to his right and adorned with a turban secured by a gold crown, large earrings and matching necklace. The turban ends fall across his shoulders and arms and he wears heavy green and red robes. He sits on a red lotus throne and is framed by a red-framed green areola and red nimbus. The fourth painting depicts another “precious minister” gazing to his right adorned with an elaborate headdress inset with jewels, large earrings and matching necklace. His right hand is raised in the gesture of teaching (vitarka mudra) and his left hand rests in his lap supporting a begging bowl. He wears heavy green and red robes sitting on a red throne and is framed by a red framed green areola and red nimbus.
